This Policy is directly referenced in and governs the data handling commitments described under ARTICLE VIII (DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY) of the iXress End-User License Agreement (EULA). By accessing our website, downloading our applications, or activating an iXress license, you acknowledge the terms of this Privacy Policy.
The Core Principle: 100% Local-First Processing
We understand that commercial printing and packaging businesses handle sensitive customer artwork, unreleased brand assets, trade secrets, and copyrighted publications. iXress software is engineered with a strict local-first architecture:
- All imposition calculations, nesting, RIP workflows, and PDF exports execute strictly within your local CPU, GPU, and RAM.
- We do not operate cloud rendering farms for your print files. Your designs never touch our servers.
- The licensee retains 100% sole ownership, copyright, and confidentiality over all input assets and exported outputs.
Information We Collect (EULA §8.1)
In strict compliance with Clause 8.1 of the EULA, data collection is limited exclusively to technical telemetry required for license enforcement, software stability, and customer support:
A. License Validation & Activation Data
When you activate or launch an iXress program, a cryptographic token containing an anonymized machine hardware hash (derived from CPU/motherboard identifiers), product license key, operating system version, and application build number is transmitted to our activation endpoint. This ensures license validity and prevents unauthorized cloning.
B. Anonymous Crash & Error Diagnostics
If an unexpected crash occurs, the software may record technical call stacks, memory exceptions, and runtime error codes. These logs never include design contents, customer names, or text extracted from your PDF pages.
C. Website & Inquiry Information
When you email us at info@ixress.com or sales@ixress.com, we collect your name, email address, company name, and message contents to fulfill your request. Server access logs (IP address, user agent) are kept temporarily for web server defense and DDoS prevention.
Purposes & Legal Grounds for Processing
We process personal and technical data under the following GDPR & KVKK legal grounds:
Data Storage, Retention & Security (EULA §8.4)
We implement commercially reasonable, industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, or alteration. All client-to-server transmissions utilize TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption.
Retention: License verification records are maintained for the active duration of the subscription plus required statutory accounting periods. Anonymous crash telemetry logs are automatically purged on a rolling 90-day cycle. Customer support correspondence is retained as long as necessary to provide service history and resolve pending issues.
Third-Party Service Providers (EULA §8.6)
As outlined in EULA §8.6, iXress engages trusted infrastructure partners to host download mirrors and license verification endpoints:
- GitHub Inc. (GitHub Releases) — Provides secure, tamper-proof hosting and cryptographic checksum verification for software setup installers.
- Cloudflare & Web Hosting Providers — Provide edge DNS, DDoS protection, and secure web server delivery for ixress.com.
- Payment Processors (e.g. Stripe / Bank Gateways) — Process license purchase transactions securely. We do not store your credit card numbers on our servers.
We select third-party partners that demonstrate robust GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001 data protection commitments. We never sell your personal data to data brokers.
International Data Transfers (EULA §8.5)
iXress software is used by printing houses, prepress agencies, and converters across multiple countries. By downloading and activating the software, you acknowledge that technical license tokens may be validated across international cloud infrastructure. We ensure that appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to guarantee that your data enjoys the same level of protection as mandated by GDPR and local data protection regulations.
